THE FRAMEWORK

1.There should be a grassroots approach to exhibition curation, exercising cultural democracy.

2.Black people should be involved in every step of the curatorial process.

3.Adequate research must be taken at all stages when addressing sociopolitical issues and a framework for understanding race should be formally implemented.

4.Cultural institutions must hire the right staff and remunerate them appropriately.

5.Exhibitions and their contents should be accurately represented to the public and made accessible to all audiences.
